DLD

Iwaidja Inyman maintains the services of one of Australia’s top graphic design studios, Melbourne-based David Lancashire Design for all of its production. DLD, which has a 20-year history of design in Indigenous contexts, has a policy of charging lower rates for Indigenous work which they see as intrinsically important. Their work in Arnhem Land includes, amongst others, the design of the permanent exhibitions in the Bowali Visitor’s Centre and the Waradjan Centre in Kakadu National Park. The quality of their work for our publications, which was recognized by winning the NT Music Design and Artwork Award in 2005, has resulted in a higher profile and increased prestige for the Iwaidja Speech Community and their language.
